Whenever I open PaperPort Professional 2014 I get the following pop up error; "Either there is no default client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client." It has been doing this for a long time, but I've just moved past it and ignored it. It doesn't stop the program from working ... it's just simply annoying. One additional item that may be needed is I'm running a fully updated 64 bit version of Windows 7. It is ONLY Nuance programs that do not recognize Outlook 2013 as my default mail client on my computer.
I have scanned all of the Nuance Support and have taken the time to try any solution that even remotely looked like it would work including adding a Mail section to the win.ini file, renaming exmapi and ccMail files in program directory and running the Control Panel Mail app to set the default. None of the solutions even for older versions has worked. I tried to submit a support ticket but it lists all of my Nuance programs as unsupported even though I'm on the most recent version of PaperPort. With customer service like this, I guess I'll simply have to find a new product.
I would appreciate any suggestions to fix this problem or recommendations as a replacement.
